The
2004 Motor Racing season will see the start of a new era
for
Colin Blower Motorsport, one of the most successful teams on
the British motor racing scene. After 12 years of racing
and
winning in the TVR Tuscan Challenge, Britain's fastest and
most spectacular one make championship, the team is ready
to challenge
for honours in the internationally significant British
GT Championship with the Vauxhall VX220.
Blower's team is currently building the car and is working
flat out to be ready for the opening race at Donington
Park on 3/4 April. "We're trying our very best to be
ready for the first race," says Blower. "Our first aim
is to be reliable and then develop the car through the
season. I'm sure that
it will be a competitive proposition," says Blower who aims
to offer customer versions of the car in due course.
Blower has a long and successful history in sports and GT
cars, including winning the TVR Tuscan title.
Colin
Blower Motorsport has commissioned Guy Evans, whose Nitron
Suspension Systems Company has been responsible for engineering
suspension components and shock absorbers. Nitron are heavily
involved in motor racing development and specialise in performance
shocks and the modifying of existing road car components.
